Neko Case joins Guided by Voices onstage for their opening song at the 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival. I figure there has got to be a story behind this. Talk about two artists I never would have imagined collaborating together…

It isn’t too hyperbolic to say that Craig Finn has had a pretty big influence on my life the past few years. I was overjoyed with the news earlier this week that Finn was recording a solo album. However, the only way the progress of the album could be tracked was following his tumblr account. So I started a tumblr.

I am going to try to make this a music blog, since I fill up so much of my twitter with music rants and am pretty much thinking about music all day long.

It’s only fitting that the first post would be a video of Mr. Finn playing a terrific song that I hope makes his solo debut.
